What a Great Day to be a Friends' Central Fan!
Clare Luzuriaga

On Saturday, 5/13 the Friends Schools League Track and Field Championship was rained out moving the event to Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. The Field events will be contested today (5/16) at 3:45 at Friends' Central. All running events will take place tomorrow (5/17) at 3:45 at FCS.

Friends' Central Varsity Baseball will play their Friends Schools League semi-final game today (5/16) at home vs George School. The Phoenix are the #1 seed and the Cougars are the #4 seed. FCS takes a 10-0 FSL and 15-3 Overall record into the game. First pitch will be at 4:00.

Friends' Central Varsity girls' lacrosse team earned the #1 seed in the tournament and upended Moorestown Friends in the semi-finals 17-5. The #1 seed Friends' Central will take on #3 seed Germantown Friends at 4:00 this afternoon (5/16) for the championship. Germantown Friends defeated Shipley 5-4 in their semi-final game. If today's match up seems familiar, there is good reason. FCS and GFS have met in the championship game seven of the last eight years. All but the 2014 Chip has been won by Friends' Central.

Come out to the fields and track this afternoon to enjoy this beautiful weather and cheer on your Phoenix! Good luck to all of our athletes as they compete today and continue to shine for FCS.  Go Phoenix!
