Gabrielle Wilkinson ’18 To Be Inducted into the 2024 Pennsylvania High School Track and Field Hall of Fame Class

Gabrielle Wilkinson ’18 has been elected to the Pennsylvania High School Track and Field Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 25, 2024, during the PIAA Track & Field Championship Meet at Shippensburg University.
 
Each year, 6-to-12 athletes, one coach, one contributor, and one distinguished alum are inducted. Athletes become eligible for nomination five years after their high school graduation. The nominating committee currently has information on over 400 athletes, 100 coaches, and 50 contributors – more than a century’s worth of outstanding individuals - who have been nominated but not yet inducted.
 
Gabrielle was an outstanding middle distance and distance runner who competed on FCS’ cross country, indoor track, and track teams. Her outstanding accomplishments include:
  • Gold medalist in the 800m at the AAU Jr Olympics Under-18 championship meet (2016)
  • Bronze medalist in the 800m at the USA Junior Olympic Meet (2017); her time of 2:06.03 was Pennsylvania's best that year
  • Silver medalist in the 800m at the National Scholastic Outdoor Championship Meet (2018); her time of 2:05.72 was PA's best that year
  • Her times for the 1500m were PA's best in both 2017 and 2018
  • PTFCA Indoor State 800m champion (2015)
  • National Indoor Scholastic Championship Meet 800m bronze medalist (2016)
  • Her times in the indoor 1000m run were PA's best in 2015, 2016, and 2018
  • Set a Pennsylvania Record (4:24.34) in the indoor 1500m run (2018)
  • PTFCA Indoor State Meet mile run champion (2016)
  • Millrose Games high school mile run champion (2018)
  • All-American: Track & Field News fifth team 800m (2017); fifth team 1600m (2018)

After graduating from FCS, Gabrielle went on to the University of Florida where she continued to excel as a middle and long distance runner. Since graduating from Florida, she has signed with Atlanta Track Club Elite, a professional running group to continue her training in the 800M. Congratulations to Gabrielle!
